Pure Shea Liquid Oil (Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Seed Oil), also known as Shea Olein or simply Shea Oil, is an all natural, pure oil form of Shea butter. Like shea butter from which it is derived, is extracted naturally from the fruit of the Shea Nut.

Shea Oil is a wonderful easy to use alternative to Shea Nut Butter. It does not have the graininess that can accompany its solid form and does not require melting , making it ready to go and easy to use . Shea liquid oil is stable and consistently liquid at room temperature (above 15ºC) . Being an oil, Shea Oil spreads quickly and is readily absorbed into the skin leaving a soft, gentle and less greasy feel behind. For those who love applying Shea Butter to the skin, this is an amazing product for you as it is very easy to apply straight from the bottle. It is also a fabulous DYI skincare product ingredient.

We love using this liquid Shea oil because it gives you all of the skin loving, moisturising benefits of Shea Butter without having to melt it down. So there' is no worry about crystallization in your products (i.e. you won't get those annoying little bumps that can show  up in your lip butter!)

As an aid to skin elasticity, Shea oil an excellent option for the elderly and those with extremely dry, sensitive or fragile skin. With next to no aroma, blending with fragrance or essential oils is not impeded leading to clarity of the intended aroma.  When used unscented it is a wonderful product for those with fragrance sensitivities.
