Some people may initially think that their hair length is due to genetics, after inquiring on the subject the women said that it was most definitely NOT due to genetics since they do not apply chébé powder mixture to their bangs which, in turn, stay short. However, the parts of the hair which they do use the powder mixture on in their routine doesn't break and grows very long and strong. Directions:

TRADITIONAL DIRECTIONS

This is how this product is traditionally used in Chad:

Take 100 g of your favourite hair treatment, conditioner or hair cream, mix with 100g of oil of your choice and add a teaspoon of mixed chébé powder. The first step is to get the hair wet using regular water and alternate between the hair grease mix that you just made and the chébé powder mix until the hair is fully saturated. They then re-braid the hair and once that braid is done wet it again with water. They repeat that routine every 3 to 5 days. Do not put on the scalp.

ALTERNATIVE DIRECTIONS

If you do not wish to leave this product in the hair for days but still wish to do a super moisturising, fortifying anti-hair loss growth treatment you can use this as a hair mask instead:

Mix and apply as above (adjust quantities if this is too much or too little to saturate your hair). Leave on your hair for at least two hours. The longer the better. To remove, shampoo twice and condition. Sellers note: I have fine blonde hair prone to breakage. I have been doing this treatment, covering with a shower cap and leaving on all day when not going out. You could also apply and leave in all night or just a couple of hours if that is all the time you have. Ideally you would do this 2-3 times a week. This is an AMAZING treatment to strengthen the hair, minimise breakage and aid in moisture and length retention. Another option is to add a little Chebe powder to your favourite leave-in conditioner, Shea Butter or any hair oil and use this as a leave in moisturiser regularly. If you only use a little Chebe you can get away with leaving this in and not washing it out.

TIPS:  You can use any of your favourite oils. Oils such as Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Black Seed Oil are great for hair growth (please see our store). Sellers Note: When doing this treatment I apply Jamaican Black Castor Oil or Black Seed Oil to my roots first and then the Chebe mixture to the rest of my hair. This way you are treating hair growth from the roots as well as fortifying your ends to protect against breakage. This is the ultimate hair growth/ anti-breakage treatment. If you have hair that needs a boost growing but also easily breaks and thins out as it does grow, this would be an ideal treatment. Please see our store for these oils and a variety of other options. Lighter alternatives to mix in with Chebe powder are Fractionated Coconut oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Sweet Almond Oil….or any other hair suitable oil of your choice. Olive Oil also works well. How is Chebe traditionally used in Chad?

DIRECTIONS

As a Prepoo treatment

Spray onto the hair & scalp and massage. Leave on for up to 20 minutes (optional- cover with a plastic cap). Rinse thoroughly and shampoo and condition as usual. Please note- If you hair is not needing a shampoo, you can bathe your hair in the rice water instead and then rinse and style as usual. This can be used instead of shampoo and conditioner. Which method you use for this product will depend on your hair type and which of these uses suits you best.

NOTES:  Rice water is protein rich. If you use too much protein and not enough moisture, your hair may feel brittle and dry. Be sure to not over use Rice Water or to reapply too often. Weekly generally suits most. However this will depend on your hair time. If your hair feels dry, we recommend using moisture rich products and taking a break from the rice water or using every other week. Some people find they can use this very regularly. Please note this product has added ingredients that add moisture to the hair as well as the protein. This will help to balance the protein and moisture and prevent the Rice water from drying out the hair. However we do recommend monitoring how your hair feels and adjusting the frequency of use accordingly. If your hair becomes overloaded with protein, your scalp becomes irritated or breakage occurs you should stop using protein treatments. Hair that lacks protein may be prone to breakage, as can hair that is overloaded with protein. Therefore we recommend you monitor your hair and adjust the frequency of use accordingly.

How to Perform a Patch Test

STEPS- How to Perform a Patch Test

- Apply a small amount of the product to a clean, discreet patch of skin. Places such as behind your ears, under your jaw, the side of you neck, inside of the arm or bend of the elbow are good places to test as they can be easily covered and kept dry. There should be no other products on the skin so that you can properly test the product.

- Keep the area dry and do not use any other products on or around the area you are testing.

- Wait up to 48 hours and look at the area for any signs of irritation such as redness, swelling or rashes.

- If irritation occurs thoroughly wash the product off and discontinue use. Consult your doctor.

- If no irritation occurs, read the label and product information and follow the instructions to incorporate the product into your skincare or haircare regime.
