WARNING: This powder is for topical applications only. Avoid getting this powder in the eyes. Otherwise, rinse with water immediately. When handling this product it is recommended that protective gloves and a mask be used to avoid inhaling. It is recommended to do a patch test before use. This can be done by dissolving one part Zinc Oxide powder with one part oil and applying to a small area of skin that is not sensitive. If irritation, redness or discomfort occurs, discontinue use and consult your medical practitioner. Seek medical advice from your medical practitioner in regards to any existing skin conditions and if this will suit you. This product has not been tested for SPF strength. Any homemade sunscreens should be used with caution. My Natural Beauty are unable to offer advice on sunscreen formulations as these are regulated by the TGA. First Aid Measures
Description of necessary measures according to routes of exposure:
Swallowed
Rinse mouth then drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to
do so by medical personnel. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell. If vomiting occurs, lean patient forward or place on left side (head-down position if possible) to maintain open airway and prevent aspiration. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Eye
Immediately flush eyes with running water for several minutes, holding eyelids open andoccasionally lifting the upper and lower lids. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing for at least 15 minutes. If eye irritation persists, get medical advice/attention.
Skin
Wash with plenty of soap and water. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before use. If skin irritation occurs, get medical advice/attention.
Inhaled
Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing until recovered. Remove contaminated clothing and loosen remaining clothing. If respiratory symptoms persist, get medical advice/attention.
Advice to Doctor
The symptoms of metal fume fever do not become manifest until a few hours have passed. Treat symptomatically. No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Ensure that attending medical personnel are aware of the identity and nature of the product(s) involved, and take precautions to protect themselves.
*Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: chronic exposure to zinc oxide may cause respiratory tract irritation with nasopharyngitis and laryngitis.
