Note: Elemental magnesium means the single ion of magnesium, not including the extra chloride ion that comes packaged with magnesium chloride flakes. The elemental magnesium content is generally 12-16% of magnesium chloride natural salt depending on the original source water concentration. Therefore if there is 500mg of magnesium chloride per gram listed on the label, this will generally be around 60mg of elemental magnesium per gram. So make sure you're comparing apples with apples.
