Oil of Wild Oregano- Nature’s Solution (written by Solutions4Health)
Oil of Wild Oregano is one of Nature’s most potent fighters.
It contains powerful biogenic volatile compounds, namely Carvacrol and Thymol which are oxygenated monoterpenes.
These are the main two components that make up the essential oil, the defence mechanism of the plant.
These components are what reduce the abiotic stress of the plant, and defend it against herbivores, and pathogens.
Much like it is fighting off a “cold”.
Carvacrol and Thymol have been extensively studied and have been found to have several therapeutic qualities.
Carvacrol and thymol are very powerful compounds on their own but the therapeutic effects are greater when they are working together.
Like they do in the Oregano plant.
However there’s a problem with the way the many Oregano Oil products are made.
It all depends on its source.
A lot of Oregano plants are grown in fields that are not the plant’s natural habitat. These fields do not possess the same soil quality and climate that is essential for the plant to thrive and grow to its full therapeutic potency.
Moreover, the soil may have been contaminated, or pesticides used to ensure maximised harvests.
As well as being grown on a farm outside its natural habitat, Carvacrol levels are often artificially increased during the process of extraction. In these standardisation methods, the natural synergy of active constituents in the oil are often placed out of balance. Focus is placed on artificially maximising carvacrol levels, with no thought given to the effect that this will have on the synergistic properties of the end product.
Solutions4Health’s Oil of Wild Oregano is sourced from a particular species of Oregano that has the highest therapeutic qualities, Origanum Vulgare.
This grows wild in high altitudes of the Mediterranean region.
We DO NOT cultivate these lands or alter the natural growing process of the plant.
Instead we let nature do its thing and when the time comes the plants are hand picked.
As they are being hand picked, the plants are shaken to drop seeds back into the earth.
It is important that the Oregano oil has its natural state preserved, with no adulteration of any of its constituents because all of the active constituents in their natural state and levels act synergistically together to provide its amazing benefits.
It is imperative to remember that this is a potent natural medicine, and only nature can get these levels right.
Different “batches” of Wild Oregano will have grown in slightly different environmental seasons and conditions resulting in mild variations in constituent levels. It is only the science of nature that can slightly adjust and produce the other elements in precisely the form and level required for that perfect synergy to continue.

FAQs (written by Solutions4Health)
Q: How is Oil of Wild Oregano derived?
A: Our Oil of Wild Oregano is Certified Organic and is hand picked and naturally steam distilled using the Wild Oregano leaves under ISO 9001-2008 and HACCP quality procedures. No additives are used in the process and nothing is taken away. Our Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Australian produced olives is to British Pharmacopoeia (BP) standards. Our products are Made in Australia. This costs us more but makes a much safer and better quality product for you, our customer.
Q: What are Vegicaps?
A: Solutions4Health uses Vegicaps. Vegicaps are derived from vegetable cellulose. 100% natural, the capsules contain no preservatives, gelatin, wheat, gluten, animal by-products or starch, and they are made from pure cellulose.
Q: What does Solutions4Health Oil of Wild Oregano contain?
A: Solutions4Health Oil of Wild Oregano contains ECOCERT Certified Organic Wild Oregano (Origanum Vulgare) appropriately blended with Certified Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a ratio of 1:4 respectively. Making it convenient for internal and/or external use.
Q: Isn’t Thymol toxic?
A: Another important constituent is Thymol. Thymol has a high degree of toxicity. Ideally, the levels should be less than 5%. This is not the case with other brands with many containing Thymol levels of up to 40%. This degree of Thymol is highly toxic. This is never the case with Solutions4Health Oil of Wild Oregano, which has a Thymol level of less than 2% .
Q: What does the TGA do?
A: The Therapeutic Goods Administration is part of the Australian Government Department of Health that is responsible for the regulation of the safety, quality, efficacy and advertising of therapeutic goods. Q: Have there been scientific studies performed on Oregano Oil?

Q: How long will my bottle of Oil Of Oregano last?
A: A travel pack of 12 Vegicaps will last you 12 days if you take the recommended dosage of 1 capsule daily.
Q: Is your oil tested for heavy metals and other contaminants?
A: Many analyses are performed, such as Microbiological and Chemical Analyses including use of Gas Chromatography on the Oil of Wild Oregano for the presence of harmful amounts of infectious microbes, chemicals or heavy metals.
Q: Is your Oregano Oil Standardized?
A: Our Oil of Wild Oregano is not standardized and never will be! Standardization includes the adulteration and/or the alteration of a product. To standardize Oregano Oil, a constituent must be added or taken away, and this does not benefit the consumer as the 3 main chemical constituents work synergistically together to provide the antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiparasitic qualities of Oil of Wild Oregano, not on their own. Many studies have shown that the main chemical constituent; Carvacrol, an extremely powerful antibiotic, does not work on its own. Tests have shown that pure Carvacrol is not as effective as pure Oil of Wild Oregano. Whether it is increasing the Carvacrol by fractioning the essential oil after distillation by boiling off other natural components to increase the Carvacrol content; or adding Carvacrol to the water during distillation or afterwards; or even removing whole parts of the plant’s makeup, it puts the natural synergy of the active constituents out of balance. We would rather give you what nature provided, that has naturally high Carvacrol vs. the highly over claimed products on the market.
